We’re kicking off the new year by heading down to the 2017 Federation of American Hospitals’ Public Policy Conference & Business Exposition in Washington, D.C. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Come join us, as we will be in attendance from March 5 – March 7, 2017!
The Fate of the Healthcare Industry
The FAH advocacy and policy experts are currently addressing federal issues to ensure the most effective and sound policies are implemented to ensure access to quality health care for all Americans. The debate over repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, also known as ACA or Obamacare, is a growing concern in the medical world where it could leave millions without proper health care services. It is especially of a concern to both patients and hospitals alike since it is unclear whether they will replace it with a viable and comparable alternative.
With the implementation of ACA came severe several taxes and spending cuts, one of them being Medicare. It is estimated to cost U.S. Hospitals more than $400 billion if the law is repealed and those cuts remain unrestored. Consequentially, hospitals and medical centers in rural areas would not be able to provide care to patients without payments from the government and many would be forced to close down, reduce workforce, or scramble through desperate measures to reduce expenses to keep afloat.
AED: An American Company, Making America Great Again
As a medical manufacturer and supplier, AED aspires to meet with key purchasing representatives at FAH to assure them that we can be the solution to the budgeting problem that is dawning over us. AED is an American company offering products at economical prices without compromising on quality, performance, or reliability since 1985.
We are excited to showcase to GPOs and IDNs that small businesses like us can provide the quality they’re looking for at affordable prices that will help the hospitals meet their budget.
